MOM’s Frozen Meals
We all have those days when we simply don’t have enough time or energy to cook a tasty meal for our family to sit down to. Allow Meals on Main (MOM) to be your “kitchen fairy” that knows how to create homely culinary magic. Microwavable containers make the heating process really simple and keep that washing up to a minimum! The Mom Café has a delicious range of freshly prepared frozen meal solutions.
Why not stock up with a variety of options from the MOM Heat and Eat range for your entire family to choose from? Our main range includes beef lasagne, butter chicken curry, sesame chicken stirfry, bobotie, lamb casserole, 3 cheese cannelloni, homemade roti’s filled with curried chicken, peppersteak pie, and chicken & mushroom pie, KIDZ mac and cheese and KIDZ cottage pie. Our desert range includes malva pudding, lemon curd tart with homemade ice cream chocolate tart with homemade, milk tart with homemade ice cream and cinnamon ‘cinnabuns’ buns.
Chatting to our Regulars
This week we spoke to Amanda Kapp, a regular here at MOM Cafe. Amanda tells us that she’s been a MOM regular for just over a year at this point, and that her favorite items on the menu are our carrot cake, steak pie and Americano coffee. We’re so touched by Amanda’s favorite MOM story, which she tells us took place last year. Amanda tells us that her debit card had expired the previous day (which has happened to all of us!) when she went to pay for her meal, and notes how happy she was that it happened here at MOM’s, and not somewhere else. Here at MOM, we understand that life happens, and we really do mean it when we say we want you to feel as though MOM cafe is home!
Amanda tells us that she’s an agent at our local SARS branch and that she discovered MOM through friends of hers who came here. She tells us what keeps her coming back to MOM time after time; the friendly people, the yummy food, coffee and relaxing atmosphere- and of course, the carrot cake!
Thanks so much, Amanda, for choosing MOM to be your regular lunch spot. We can’t wait to see you again soon.
Hearing from Rebecca
Two weeks ago a team from Hurst Campus competed in the One and Only stars competition. Hurst has had great success in the past in the One and Only competition and we were incredibly proud of the effort put in by all team members at the competition this year. Here’s a word from our founder, Rebecca Hurst, on the hard work put in by all at the competition:
“ I was super proud of the 110% effort that each member of our team gave during weeks of practice, preparation and on the actual competition day. The heat was definitely on. It was a scorcher of a day in Cape Town with tempera- tures exceeding 30 degrees! We will be nibbling on our nails until the 15 November 2019 when the results will be announced at a gala luncheon hosted in the ballroom of the magnificent One and Only Hotel in Cape Town.”
